Welcome to the Stratford Camera Club Website.

The Stratford Camera Club's objective is to encourage members in their photographic endeavors, provide instruction and opportunities to improve their skills through club competitions, outings, and guest speakers. We encourage social interaction within the club and with other camera clubs. We will make use of our affiliation with the Canadian Association for Photographic Arts, (CAPA) to broaden our opportunities and objectives.

To this end we are always looking for new members and encourage you to come to our meeting on September 8th 2009, and our regular monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of every month (except for June, July, and August) at Gallery Stratford (on Romeo St.) from 7:30pm.

Poster for Kaleidoscope 2010: March 13, 2pm & 7pm at the Griffith Auditorium, Woodland Towers

The Stratford Camera Club’s annual Kaleidoscope show has been entertaining the community since 1988, 22 years of slide essays and print exhibitions. Kaleidoscope was introduced as an afternoon show at the Gallery Stratford. The Club used a member’s “Audiotronics” to present the two projector shows. The audience soon out grew the Gallery space and a second show was added. A “Tiffin Pro Dissolve” was purchased and the shows progressed in quality and quantity. Soon the audience coming to see the shows outgrew the space available. The Griffith Auditorium at Woodland Towers became the new venue. Prints from the Club’s annual February Print Competition can now be properly displayed. Receiving an Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant allowed the Club to move into digital projection. This will be the first year for total digital presentations.
